Coffee promises to boost weight loss

Sales of a new kind of coffee are percolating through the desert this fall.Boresha's Bskinny Coffee dubs itself as “the fat-burning” coffee that helps with weight loss.

Gina Wilkerson, a local distributor, said she lost 7 pounds after drinking it for three months. Fellow distributor Mark Chamberlain, lost about 20 pounds, she said.

“If we could drink coffee, lose weight and have better health, that's a great thing,” the La Quinta mom said.

The coffee is sold via the Internet by Boresha International, which specializes in teas, sweeteners and other products using low-glycemic food technology that increases metabolism.

Wilkerson is one of a few distributors working locally. She said a small group started launching the product here a few months ago with coffee tastings, participation in September's Walk from Obesity event in Palm Springs, radio interviews and simple face-to-face sales pitches in public.

When I saw Simon the next time, I told him I forgave him because an important part of my faith is forgiving others because I have been forgiven. Though Hundley, 33, didn't go on to win the singing competition, she returned to the recording studio. She says her newest album, called "True Beauty," is about not being defined by the way one looks.

The diet on Twitter is being used by celebrities including Stephen Fry, who has reportedly lost six stone in six months, and Little Britain star Matt Lucas, who says he has lost half a stone in a fortnight.

Tweet What You Eat is an online food diary that allows you to instantly enter everything you eat. The application, which already has more than 8,000 followers, has a 'CrowdCal system', a completely crowd-sourced calorie database, which fills in food entries' calorie count based on what other members have entered. It allows you to keep track of your weight to see if the diet is working while there is also a forum for dieters to discuss food.
Alex Ressi, creator of Tweet What You Eat, said: "People need to be able to share in the success and lean on others.

I’m hooked on “The Biggest Loser”. Maybe its because I get to watch lives being transformed and new behaviors shaped. First off, they both admitted upfront that one of the reasons the people lose so much weight consistently is because of their new environment. All the barriers that usually exist to behavior change (job/life stresses, family and friends, lack of time, lack of knowledge about what to do) have been removed. Their new job is to exercise, learn about good nutrition habits, and practice them. This is one of the keys to their success.
