She's absolutely right about Shakespeare's linguistic creativity, and I suspect that the playwright would have delighted in "refudiate." That's not because it enriches our language with a new word that communicates something that can be conveyed in no other way, but because it's the sort of naive malapropism he puts into the mouths of some of his characters, among them such inspired and irrepressible bumpkins as Bottom the Weaver in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and Dogberry the Master Constable in "Much Ado About Nothing." To borrow a line from the title character in "King Lear," then, I say "let copulation thrive." Fusing "refute" with "repudiate" may result in bastard currency, but as a means to certify a failed governor for the kind of position that would make her appear less "o'er-parted" (to quote Costard from "Love's Labor's Lost"), it's what Shakespeare's most endearing Keystone Kop would call "the eftest way."

She is set to take on a rather risque role as Linda Lovelace in a remake of the Seventies porn film Deep Throat. And Lindsay Lohan’s raunch factor appears to have been turned up to 11 ever since, as these sexy new pictures from a recent photo shoot show. The actress oozed with sex appeal in these daring photos that were snapped last September by acclaimed photographers Markus and Indrani – the woman who claimed she had an affair with the Mean Girls star shortly after they met on the shoot. During the episode of the documentary, which aired in the US last night, Indrani, 36, hinted that she and Lindsay had a relationship. She also claimed in May that she had secretly been dating the 23-year-old actress since last autumn and they had been on a string of recent dates around Los Angeles.

Is Lindsay Lohan wild enough to bite the hand that feeds her? One photographer thinks so. Photographer Markus Klinko expressed his concern over shooting the 23-year-old actress for her 6126 leggings line on Bravo’s “Double Exposure” Tuesday night. “There’s almost a dangerous element to her presence,” he told the cameras before LiLo arrived for her close-up. “Is she gonna bite you? Is she just gonna leave?” The photographer said he approached the “Mean Girls” star like she was a red-maned lioness. “I literally need to think of myself as a wildlife photographer,” he told the camera. “I’m waiting by that watering hole, the lioness is coming out and I have one second to catch her.” Klinko photographed the troubled starlet as she hung off a stripper pole, but not before LiLo insisted on wiping down the prop.

We have two quick pieces of casting news for you this morning. First up, the incredibly sexy Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) has signed on to co-star in the Miley Cyrus comedy LOL along with Thomas Jane (Hung). According to THR, “The story centers on a teenage girl (Cyrus) who is dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend (George Finn) while her divorcee mother (Demi Moore) struggles to move on with her life.” Greene will play “a high school bad girl” (nice) and Jane will play Cyrus’ father. The film also stars Ashley Hinshaw (Gossip Girl) as Cyrus’ best friend. Hit the jump for Kali Hawk’s two new projects.
Kali Hawk (Couples Retreat) has signed on to the comedies Bridesmaids and Let Go. Kristen Wiig stars in Bridesmaids which is about “a maid of honor trying to please the snobby, rich bridesmaids at every wedding event before her best friend’s nuptials.” Wiig also co-wrote the script Annie Mumolo. THR reports that “Hawk plays a member of the posh crowd.” Paul Feig (Arrested Development) will direct and Judd Apatow is producing.

The show will be supervised by Mark Burnett, the force behind such TV hits as CBS's "Survivor" and NBC's "The Apprentice," and will strive to "reveal Alaska's powerful beauty as it has never been filmed," as Discovery's chief operating officer, Peter Liguori, said in a statement today. "The deal was just concluded this week and now we begin the development and production," a Discovery spokesperson added. "TLC is about strong characters and compelling narratives, and there is absolutely no intention of making a political program whatsoever."

Today, Palin returns the favor as she campaigns for McCain in Arizona where he faces a Republican primary against former congressman J.D. Hayworth. McCain is seeking re-election to a fifth U.S. Senate term.They will appear at 3 p.m. (ET) today at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tuscon. Another event is planned in Mesa on Saturday. A lot has happened since that campaign for the former Alaska governor -- a best-selling memoir, a regular gig as a pundit on Fox News and, now this week, news that she has inked a deal with Discovery to host a reality TV show, Sarah Palin's Alaska.

Her new series will be titled, Sarah Palin's Alaska. The show will focus on everything and anything interesting in the state, with Palin acting as your tour guide. The deal is expected to net Palin a cool $1 million-plus per episode. Discovery has that kind of cash? Apparently so. There's no word when the show will premiere. However, Palin is keeping plenty busy with her other new gig as a Fox News commentator.

Not that it matters politically because obviously she's a female Republican dunce and he's a male Democrat genius.

But Sarah Palin's poll numbers are strengthening.

And President Obama's are sliding.

Guess what? They're about to meet in the 40s.

Depending, of course, on which recent set of numbers you peruse and how the questions are phrased, 307 days into his allotted 1,461, the 44th president's approval rating among Americans has slid to 49% or 48%, showing no popularity bounce from his many happy trips, foreign and domestic.

Riding the wave of immense publicity and symbiotic media interest over her new book, "Going Rogue," and the accompanying promotional tour, Palin's favorable ratings are now at 43%, according to ABC. That's up from 40% in July.

One poll even gives her a 47% favorable.

Most recent media attention has focused on the 60% who say she's unqualified to become president. Her unfavorable rating is 52%, down from 53%, which still doesn't ignite a lot of optimism for Palin lovers.
