Bikram Choudhury brought this hot yoga over to america in the 1970s. The exercises are the same Bikram would do outdoors on a summer day in Calcutta. Besides the temperature, the room is elevated to 40 percent humidity. They say for your first time trying it out, your body will take about 30 or 40 minutes to get used to the heat.
