Eva Mendes: Werner Herzog "Screamed Like A Girl"

http://www.musicrooms.net

Eva Mendes says director Werner Herzog “screamed like a girl” after being bitten by an iguana on the set of her new movie. The actress plays a prostitute in The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans, a remake of the 1992 crime drama. She stars alongside Nicolas Cage, who plays a drug-crazed police lieutenant experiencing visions of phantom iguanas. “There was this great moment where we were shooting the scene with the iguanas. One of them was refusing to do what Werner wanted and he kept shoving him onto his mark…Eventually, he got sick of it and bit him!” Eva told British magazine Total Film. “Werner has been in the jungle and he’s dealt with Klaus Kinski but when that happened, he screamed like a girl!” Eva was surprised by the director’s reaction, which revealed he is not as fearless as his image suggests. However the eccentric director loved working with the reptiles, despite being terrified by the attack. “Werner wanted his iguanas to get more screen time because he was very fond of them,” revealed Eva’s co-star Nicolas.

'Iron Man 2' Director Jon Favreau Clarifies Olivia Munn's Role In Sequel

http://www.mtv.com

'No, no,' says director when asked if 'Attack of the Show!' host was originally cast as a superhero. The first time we see Tony Stark in "Iron Man 2" is when he uncorks his head from his metallic suit and reveals himself to a screaming crowd. He's arrived for Stark Expo 2010, an extravaganza of rock music, scantily clad dancers and the promotion of Stark Industries' motto, "Better Living Through Technology." Anyone who's anyone is at the Expo, set in a luminous, laser-light-filled version of Queens, New York. And if you can't be there, well, you'd better be tuning in on the small screen. Bringing updates live from the scene is Chess Roberts, reporter extraordinaire and "Iron Man" comics character. Playing Roberts is "Attack of the Show!" host Olivia Munn, but that wasn't the role for which she was originally cast. So what was? Rumor has it that she was supposed to play a comic book character like Scarlet Witch or Wasp. Not so, director Jon Favreau told MTV News.

Who Was Olivia Munn Originally Supposed To Play In Iron Man 2?

http://io9.com

We now know that Olivia Munn didn't nab Wasp or Scarlet Witch for Iron Man 2, but what role was the Attack of the Show! host initially slated to play? Director Jon Favreau has the answer. Spoilers on! Munn, who portrays überobscure reporter Chess Roberts in IM2, was originally slated to play what sounds like a possible paramour of Tony Stark, or at least a party-goer caught up in a comedy-of-errors escapade with the rakish billionaire. According to Jon Favreau: "She did a very funny comedic take on a girl that [Tony] was with at his birthday party," he explained. "She pops up again later in his bedroom. But the way the scene went down, that part of the movie didn't want to have comedy because it was starting to get a little bit serious and bump tonally. ... As a scene it was great, but when we put the whole movie together, that's one of the things that happens. It's happened to me many times as an actor, but we called her up and said, 'There's another thing that we're shooting now, we'd love to have you in the film.' "
